1. How large are temperature controlled containers?

Spacewise stocks three different models of temperature controlled containers. Our smallest units are just 10 ft. long, so they are roughly the size of a standard car parking space, while 20 ft. containers are twice the size and the most commonly rented. Our 40 ft. containers provide vast amounts of storage and are commonly used by supermarkets, wholesalers and manufacturers. The width and height of all our containers are standardised, which facilitates easy stacking and helps to save space.

2. What range of temperatures is supported?

Many people think that reefer containers are used exclusively for frozen goods, but the truth is that state-of-the-art models can sustain a broad range of temperatures. It’s possible to go as low as -35 ͦC when freezing is indeed necessary, but in many instances the desired temperature could be above 0 ͦC or even at around +30 ͦC. Most importantly, the cooling system can reliably maintain the same conditions in any weather, so our containers protect your stock from the outside environment.

3. Are refrigerated containers safe and secure?

The short answer is yes. Our latest models are equipped with numerous features intended to protect you and your team while reducing the possibility of loss or damage to your goods. If they are used properly, temperature controlled containers can be very reliable for many years. When they are locked and monitored, they can be left unattended in outdoor locations without fear that burglars or wild animals might gain entry.

4. Are temperature controlled containers expensive?

Quite the contrary, they are among the most affordable ways of storing perishable goods. Since they can be rented for shorter or longer periods, temperature controlled containers facilitate cost management and reduce overall liabilities for projects of any scale. There is no need for the kind of large upfront investment that is typically associated with building traditional cold warehousing on-site.

5. Is it difficult to move a temperature controlled container from one location to another?
